Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Social Worker/Therapist at AnMed – Anderson, South Carolina

The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Social Worker/Therapist is assigned to the Behavioral Health Unit and works with the outpatient population. The teammate would be responsible for assisting physicians and other members of the health care team in understanding the significant social and emotional factors related to health problems. This includes working with the patient’s family and utilizing appropriate community resources.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• South Carolina Licensed Independent Social Worker-CP (LISW-CP), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage Family Therapist required (LMFT).
• LISW-CP strongly preferred
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology required.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team approach required.

Preferred:

• Caring person with tact, patience, empathy, and understanding.
• Strong interpersonal skills, creative, flexible, and resourceful.
• Knowledge regarding community resources preferred.
• One year of hospital/health care experience preferred.
