Position Summary
Supports the vision and growth of fundraising events and activities that contribute to the overall goals and objectives of the Development Events team. Responsible for implementation, management and execution of all special events assigned by the Regional Director. Coordinates with Communications and Marketing department to ensure assigned special events receive maximum exposure.

Essential Duties

  • Responsible for supporting fundraising strategy, managing event logistics, implementing all details for assigned events, including silent and live auctions, training and orchestrating volunteer activities.
  • Responsible for working with event vendors and managing contracts with great emphasis on attention to detail to ensure compliance of both parties.
  • Assists the Regional Director in establishing plans with specific goals and timetables to execute fundraising events.
  • Drafts event correspondence, including, but not limited to proposals, emails, and vendor and donor presentations.
  • Supports event committees and interacts with leadership, honorees and chairs to further strengthen relationships. Coordinates event efforts with the Communications and Marketing department.
  • Solicits and cultivates third party events and community opportunities. Manages and nurtures relationships with donors and organizations.
  • Documents all donor contacts in compliance with National Jewish Health Development procedures.
  • Confirms donor meetings with both internal staff and major donors, outside community members and vendors.
  • Prepares and distributes agendas, meeting notes, minutes and other documents for events, meetings, cultivation and solicitation meetings as well as coordinating correspondence and other communications related to special events.
  • Posts event sponsor recap-letters, photographs and processes payments.
  • Other Duties

  • Supports the Regional Director on assigned events and projects.
  • Acts as back up for staff absences and vacancies as necessary.
  • Schedules leadership and committee meetings as assigned.

  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of two (2) years fundraising or related experience required.
  • Special Training, Certification or Licensure: Experience with fundraising databases, Raiser’s Edge experience preferred.
  • Salary Range: $55,000 - $68,000
