About This Position

The New England Center for Children (NECC) is seeking a full-time ABA Therapist for their autism Early Intensive Behavior Intervention (EIBI) program. Training will be provided that could lead to Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification. Additionally, ongoing supervision by a BCBA will be available for RBTs and BCBA candidates.

The Early Childhood ABA Therapist will provide one-on-one applied behavior analysis (ABA) services to a young child with autism in their home and/or childcare center. The Early Childhood ABA Therapist plays an important role in the child’s EIBI program by directly implementing skill development and behavior reduction protocols specified in their individualized treatment plans under the direction and supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Building supportive and professional relationships with children and families is an important part of the ABA Therapist's role.

Schedule:

  • Full-time year-round position, day shift; Monday - Friday
  • 35 hours per week, not including a daily one-hour unpaid lunch break.
  • Sessions with families are scheduled between the hours of 7:30am and 4:00pm.
  • The EIBI program is closed for services for 30 days per year.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one applied behavior analysis (ABA) services for a young child with autism in their home and/or childcare center.
  • Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction procedures as prescribed in treatment protocols.
  • Collect data on target skills and behaviors for progress tracking and assessment.
  • Complete daily session notes.
  • Respect the privacy, cultural customs, and religious practices of children and families.
  • Build and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with children and families while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Participate in paid supervision meetings and professional development activities

Qualifications:

  • Certified as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in good standing. NECC will provide RBT supervision as required to maintain RBT certification.
  • A high school diploma is required. Having or pursuing a college degree is highly preferred.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • CPR certification (child, adult, and AED) through the agency within 6 months of employment.
  • Be a compassionate and kind person with a desire to work with young children and families.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
