What you will do
- Prepares, processes and maintains inventory system. Assists in periodic and annual inventory counts by generating count sheets, verifying quantities and researching and resolving discrepancies.
- Receives, checks, stocks and maintains patient care par inventory supply locations in accordance with established par levels, procedures and policies. • Checks supplies delivered against vendor packing slip to verify receipt of medical supplies and report shortages and discrepancies daily. • Rotates and cycle count inventory locations daily to minimize stock outs and ensure sterile packaging integrity and expiration dating. • Verifies that inventory received is in good condition and that individual packing slips for incoming supplies are signed. Organize and maintain proper documentation, logs and records relating to inventory control and record keeping in according with the hospital’s policies and procedures. • Acts as liaison with hospital staff and the distribution vendor regarding product changes and backorder issues in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Interacts and works collaboratively with other departments, medical/hospital staff, and outside representatives or companies. Maintains positive working relationships and provides information and assistance as required. Answers the phones and respond to customer inquiries in a courteous and timely manner in accordance with established performance standards.
- Assists in maintenance of department equipment and supplies. Maintains safety and security procedures.
- Shares responsibilities and provides coverage for relief and absences within CPD/ORs/other procedural areas as required.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent Required
- At least 1 year experience of hospital inventory, clerical, or storeroom experience Preferred
