We are currently searching for a talented Civil Engineer III to join and grow with our Civil team!

Your options as a civil engineer are endless at SEH. You’ll engineer better communities -- complete streets, safer sidewalks, more sustainable utilities, and trails and parks. Others specialize in large-scale projects, like flood control facilities, dams, landfills, harbors/marinas, structural retaining walls and larger geotechnical projects. Regardless of the project, you’ll have your hands in the mix through all phases of a project: planning, pre-design, design, contract documentation, bidding and construction. This Opportunity:

• Work effectively in an empowered team environment with engineers and project managers to develop designs and concept drawings into accurate and complete construction documents.
• Produce and coordinate construction drawings with multiple disciplines utilizing MicroStation software.
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously and lead plan development while coordinating and mentoring other technical staff.
• Work from engineering sketches and calculations in developing preliminary and final plans, quantities and cost estimates for bridges in Wisconsin and neighboring states
• Assist with construction administration tasks, including shop drawing review and occasional

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the United States
• Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc. Occasional overnight travel will be required
• Previous experience on DOT projects
• Experience with bridge design
• Working proficiency using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other applicable civil design software

Preferred Qualifications:

• Reside in WI
• A minimum of Four (4) years of total design experience
• At least One (1) year of Bridge Design Experience
• Professional Engineer in the state of WI
• Experience in highway design and construction of WisDOT projects
