About This Position

Craig Hospital Administrative 2 Year Fellowship

Position Summary

The Administrative Fellowship position is a two-year project and rotation-based training program that allows the fellow to work on various projects throughout the organization. The full-time, paid position will provide valuable exposure to leadership through participation in meetings, project management, and numerous rotations. At Craig, we understand that not all applicants will seek the same experience; the fellowship will be largely determined by the selected candidate. The position will report to the Vice President of People and Culture with supervision by other leaders within the hospital based upon established rotations and projects. Ultimately, the fellowship will evolve to meet the needs of the hospital and the desires of the fellow.

Rate of pay: $65,000 per year

Education:

Qualified applicants must have a Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, or related field) or be a degree candidate from an accredited college or university who is on schedule to complete the degree before the fellowship start date in June.

  • Internal candidates must be within three years of their degree conferral date.
  • External candidates must be within 12 months of their degree conferral date
  • Preferred applicants hold a master’s degree from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME). However, applications from non-CAHME programs will be accepted for review.

Experience:

Some practical experience as an intern, fellow, or employee within the healthcare industry strongly preferred.

  • Exhibit knowledge and understanding of the healthcare industry and the components of the organization.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Must demonstrate utmost integrity; respect confidential information.

Essential Job Functions

  • Work collaboratively with both executive and senior leadership to implement and assist in projects related to Craig Hospital.
  • Attend all related meetings while being responsive to other meetings and committees as required. Communicate outcomes appropriately.
  • Work collaboratively with CNS physicians and other departments to accomplish project goals and
  • Help coordinate the planning, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and overseeing of the incoming fellow.
  • Lead the development and execution of projects, as the position requires.
  • Act as a self-starter and demonstrate a willingness to take on new and challenging leadership roles, non-leadership projects, and hospital-wide deliverables.
  • Develop effective health care management skills and the ability to work with administrative leaders, physicians, and clinical leaders.
