Job Description

The Science History Institute has several openings for part-time Conference Services Assistants. We are looking for dedicated, high-energy candidates who have catering, hospitality, or event services experience. The Conference Services Assistant is a hands-on, frontline person responsible for providing a high-quality experience for our clients attending events at our state-of-the art facility. Duties include room sets, food service and display, and clean-up and break-down of events. This position requires a flexible schedule, as we host events during the business day, as well as evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of hospitality or other customer service-related experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be detailed oriented and be able to successfully follow directions
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, while maintaining a strong professional presence
  • Must possess high level of customer service and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to lift and carry 30 pounds
  • Flexible schedule is required
