Job Title: Shift Supervisor (2nd Shift) Reports To: Plant Manager

Direct Reports: Supervisors, Technical Experts, Operators, and Material Handlers

Job Summary:
The Shift Supervisor (2nd Shift) oversees production operations to ensure safety, quality, on-time delivery, and efficient use of resources. This role is responsible for leading a team to meet production goals while maintaining compliance with safety, lean manufacturing, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet schedule, quality, and delivery requirements.
• Promote a safe work environment; enforce safety policies and 5S/housekeeping standards.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate production personnel; support cross-training and team development.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in productivity, quality, scrap reduction, and cost control.
• Monitor KPIs and production reports; take corrective action to address performance gaps.
• Ensure standardized work processes are followed across shifts.
• Support maintenance efforts by identifying equipment issues and creating work orders.
• Maintain lean manufacturing principles and minimize work-in-process inventory.
• Participate in quality, safety, and APQP meetings as required.
• Maintain compliance with TS16949, ISO 14001, and company policies.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of supervisory or production management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, A3).
• Familiar with safety and quality standards, including OSHA and TS requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer systems; able to interpret production data and blueprints.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

Shift Requirements:
Must be able to work 2nd shift and be available for overtime, including weekends and holidays as needed.
