Cashier, UM Campus Dining at University of Montana (UM), Helena College, and UM Western – Missoula, Montana

UM Campus Dining invites applications for a Cashier to provide accurate use of the POS (point-of-sale) terminal. You will provide outstanding guest service by smiling, greeting and thanking every guest that is encountered.

• Provide accurate use of the POS (point-of-sale) terminal
  

• Excellent communication and guest service skills
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude at all times, and be able to work within a very diverse work force
• Ability to move throughout the operation as needed to perform tasks
• Ability to effectively work independently and as a team member
• Ability to lift materials from floor level to table height, which requires mobility and some physical demands

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent
• Expert knowledge in operating a POS system
• Expert knowledge and experience in food service
• Expert knowledge in and ability to teach operating a POS system in a food service environment
• One-year (1) cashiering experience

Position Number: NEW
Work Schedule: Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week), Shifts vary due to the needs of the unit 12 months/year
Probationary Period: Six months minimum
