The Outlook at Windhaven leadership is looking for talented individuals to be part of the team as a Housekeeping Technician.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Models a service attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better, is friendly and courteous to residents, patients and co-workers
- Maintain a clean, disinfected, safe, and pleasant environment for all residents, families, employees, and visitors of The Outlook at Windhaven
- Use proper chemicals, tools, and equipment to clean assigned areas
- Assist with set-up and clean-up of events/activities
- Dust, clean and sanitize resident rooms, as i.e., deep cleaning and daily clean schedules)
- Clean and sanitize public restrooms
- Clean nurses station
- Inventory supply cart and restock on a daily basis
- Maintain clean housekeeping closet at all times
- Report repair needs to Supervisor
- Work with other staff on major projects
- Work in Laundry as needed
- Make rooms ready for admissions
- Minor repairs (changing light bulbs, etc.) if applicable
- Assist Laundry Techs as needed being able to work all areas
- Pull trash as needed
- Assist other Departments as needed
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Housekeeping experience, domestic or commercial, preferred (1 year)
- Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as a team player
- Good communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and prioritize tasks and know when to ask supervisor for assistance
- Willingness to climb ladders and perform other duties that require heights
- Ability to adapt to changes in procedures, as improvements are made
- Knowledge of household tools, floor care and other related equipment
- Ability to perform Essential Duties
- Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and persons with disabilities
- Ability to perform work tasks within the Physical Demand Requirements
- Ability to comply with the Resident Bill of Rights and the Employee Responsibilities
- Ability to comply with site and departmental safety policies and procedures
