Group Fitness Instructor in Palm Desert, California at Power Of Fitness

Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivating Group Fitness Instructor to lead safe, effective, and engaging fitness classes for our members. The ideal candidate will have a passion for health and wellness, strong communication skills, and the ability to inspire participants of all fitness levels to achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and lead group fitness classes (e.g., strength training, cycling, yoga, HIIT, dance, or specialty formats).

• Provide proper instruction on exercise techniques, posture, and modifications to ensure safety for all participants.

• Create an energetic, positive, and inclusive environment that motivates members.

• Monitor class attendance and promote participation in fitness programs.

• Maintain knowledge of current fitness trends, techniques, and best practices.

• Inspect equipment before and after classes, reporting any issues or safety concerns.

• Build relationships with members, offering encouragement and fitness guidance outside of class as needed.

• Support the gym’s overall mission by promoting other programs, services, and membership benefits.

Qualifications:

• Certification from a recognized fitness organization (e.g., ACE, NASM, AFAA, ACSM, ISSA, or equivalent).

• CPR/AED certification (preferred or required, depending on gym policy).

• Previous experience leading group fitness classes is strongly preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and motivational skills.

• Ability to adapt workouts for various skill and fitness levels.
