RN - Cardiac Cath Lab at Lima Memorial Health System – Lima , Ohio

Functioning within the Health System’s mission, vision, values, policies and procedures, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients on his/her shift. RN responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care using age specific criteria. Judgments are made based upon scientific knowledge and clinical skills. The RN also assists in planning, directing and teaching non-RN staff such as LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries. Must demonstrate flexibility with work schedule changes and be “on call” per department requirements, which include being continuously available to be on-site within thirty (30) minutes.

Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Current valid, unrestricted RN license for the State of Ohio. Current BLS required. ACLS required or completed after hire. Intermediate Cardiac Classes required or completed after hiring.

Experience: 2 years telemetry nursing preferred. Critical Care experience preferred. Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) also preferred

Skills: Must have excellent customer service and communication skills and the documented ability to exhibit patience and tact and interact effectively with all constituents including physicians, patients and associates. Must also be team oriented and demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively, collaboratively, and efficiently in a fast-paced stressful environment. Required skills include basic computer skills.
