Overnight Food Handler at Iacofano Group, LLC – West Columbia, South Carolina

The Food Handler plays a key role in supporting kitchen operations by ensuring food is prepared, stored, and handled safely and efficiently. This position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.

• Assist with food preparation under the direction of kitchen supervisors or chefs
• Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including food prep surfaces, storage areas, and utensils
• Properly label and store ingredients and prepared items
• Support kitchen and service staff with meal assembly and event preparation
• Dispose of waste and maintain cleanliness according to company standards
• Comply with all health department regulations and company policies

• Previous experience in food service, catering, or hospitality preferred but not required
• Valid South Carolina Food Handler certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
