About This Position
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level HVAC Preventive Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to start a career in the HVAC industry. Under the guidance of experienced technicians, you will be responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance on various HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and longevity. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn, a good work ethic, and possess a Universal EPA certification.
Responsibilities:
Inspection, cleaning, and basic maintenance of HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems.
Perform routine tasks such as changing filters, cleaning coils, lubricating moving parts, and checking refrigerant levels (under supervision as applicable).
Learn to identify potential issues and report them to senior technicians for further diagnosis and repair.
Document all maintenance activities accurately and completely.
Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and workspace.
Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
Communicate professionally and courteously with clients and team members.
Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
Qualifications:
Universal EPA Certification is required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
Punctual, reliable, and a strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and bend for extended periods.
Comfortable working in confined spaces, on rooftops, and in varying temperatures.
