The VP of Data Solutions leads JobTarget’s technical data organization — responsible for data infrastructure, automation, ML operationalization, and cloud cost efficiency. Reporting to the Head of Data, this role ensures all data systems are secure, reliable, efficient, and high-quality. This is a hands-on, builder-leader role requiring deep AWS expertise, FinOps experience, and the ability to operationalize ML models through scalable, automated systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of ~10 data engineers and developers.
• Architect, scale, and optimize AWS-based data platforms (Glue, Redshift, S3, Lambda, ECS, Athena).
• Drive FinOps strategy — monitor and reduce cloud spend while improving performance.
• Build and maintain machine learning systems for Candidate Matching, Sourcer Ranking, and Applicant Classification.
• Implement n8n-based automation and orchestration for ML pipelines and data workflows.
• Define and enforce data quality, validation, and governance standards across all systems.
• Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, OFCCP).
• Support analytics and visualization through AWS QuickSight and related tools.
• Collaborate closely with Data Science, Engineering, and Product teams to deliver scalable data-driven capabilities.
• Stay current on AI, automation, and orchestration trends to drive continuous innovation.
