About This Position
About the Role:
The Payroll Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring that all employees are compensated accurately and on time, which is essential for maintaining employee satisfaction and trust. This position involves managing the entire payroll process, including the calculation of wages, deductions, and bonuses, while ensuring compliance with federal and state payroll regulations. The Payroll Administrator will also be responsible for maintaining payroll and tax records (including unemployment and workman's compensation payments) and processing payroll-related inquiries, which requires a keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Additionally, this role will involve collaborating with HR and senior leadership, ensuring that all changes are accurately reflected in the payroll system. Ultimately, the Payroll Administrator contributes to the overall financial health of the organization by ensuring that payroll operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in payroll administration or a similar role.
- Proficiency in payroll software, specifically ADP Workforce.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in payroll management (e.g., CPP or FPC).
- Experience with payroll tax compliance and reporting.
- Familiarity with employee benefits and compensation structures.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for all employees on a bi-weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
- Maintain and update employee and payroll records, including pay rates, tax information.
- Manage payroll-related inquiries from employees and provide timely resolutions to any issues that arise.
- Utilize payroll software, ADP Workforce Now, to generate reports and analyze payroll data for accuracy.
- Manage payroll tax, unemployment and workman's compensation payments with relevant states.
