Cafe Server/Cashier at ELS FOR AUTISM FOUNDATION – Jupiter, Florida

About the Els for Autism Foundation:

Els for Autism Foundation was established in 2009 by Liezl and Ernie Els. The Els' son, Ben, is impacted by autism spectrum disorder, which affects 1 in 31 children in the U.S. The Els for Autism Foundation serves families around the world and offers in-person programs and services at its 26 acre campus in Jupiter, Florida. The Big Easy Cafe on the campus serves clients and their families and staff and is open to the public on Fridays.

The Cafe's hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 7:30 AM-2 PM.

This position is part-time: work hours are on a rotating schedule during hours of operation noted above. The position includes the ability to earn tips.

Job responsibilities:

+ Greet guests and assist them in ordering while maintaining positive and professional relationships with coworkers, customers, and clients

+ Make drinks, deliver food to tables and keep Cafe areas clean

+ Operate POS system to take payment for menu items purchased

Work Environment:

• Work is normally performed in a typical cafe/restaurant environment
• Ability to lift, stand or bend as needed to perform assigned tasks

Job Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma

+ Minimum of two years of experience

+ Must possess outstanding customer service skills including the ability to anticipate the needs of guests and coworkers

+ Demonstrate a genuine concern and thoughtfulness for others

+ Demonstrated dependability, adaptability and flexibility

+ Team orientation to assist co-workers as needed

+ Attention to detail while being able to multi-task

+ Ability to follow directions and/or written work procedures

+ Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or experience working with clients with developmental disabilities is a plus
