Laundry Attendant - PT at GATEWAY HOTEL & CONFERENCE CENTER – Ames, Iowa, Iowa

Assist the Housekeeping Manager and Supervisor(s) to ensure all housekeeping laundry is properly and efficiently laundered, as well as maintaining adequate stock for each department’s clean linens, tools and supplies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Washing, drying, and folding/pressing of linens according to hotel quality standards.

• Sorting items and making sure items are washed on proper machine cycle.

• Follow procedures for treating and removing stains when required.

• Distribute clean neatly folded linen to room attendant's storage areas.

• Basic reading and writing some housekeeping experience preferred but not required.

• Must have a STRONG attention to detail.

• Attendants must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push heavy carts without assistance repeatedly.

• Must be a fast pace worker and work well with others.

• Repetitive motions of standing up and moving about the facility, frequently bending, stooping, and kneeling are required.

• Must be able to work nights, weekend, and some Holidays.
