Position Overview

Legacy Solutions Inc. is seeking a strong, experienced, and student-focused Dean of Students for a K–8 school in Metro Atlanta. This is a long-term substitute leadership role to provide immediate support through the remainder of the school year.

The Dean of Students will play a critical role in maintaining a positive school culture, supporting student behavior, and ensuring a safe and structured learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
Support and uphold the school’s student discipline and behavior systems
Address student behavioral concerns using restorative practices and interventions
Collaborate with school leadership, teachers, and parents to support student success
Monitor hallways, classrooms, and common areas to ensure safety and order
Assist with student supervision, arrival/dismissal, and transitions
Maintain accurate documentation of incidents and interventions
Support implementation of school policies and procedures
Build positive relationships with students to promote accountability and growth
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required (Education or related field preferred)
Prior experience in a Dean, Assistant Principal, or leadership role strongly preferred
Experience working with K–8 students
Strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills
Ability to de-escalate situations and manage conflict effectively
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to pass background screening requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in charter or urban school settings
Background in restorative practices or PBIS
Leadership experience in school culture and climate initiatives
