Facilities Technician at Wayne Brothers Companies – Walterboro, South Carolina

POSITION SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Work in a safe manner, recognize and correct service center hazards, and comply with WBC, OSHA and DOT safety requirements
• Serve as a safe and productive member of the Asset Group
• Maintain Walterboro office facility. Maintenance includes, but is not limited to mowing grass, spraying weeds, spray insecticide and fungicide, trimming shrubs, blowing leaves, operating and maintaining irrigations system, picking up trash, changing light bulbs, changing HVAC filters, minor plumbing repairs, minor carpentry work, sweep service center.
• Ability to recognize issues independently and resolve with limited to no input from supervision.
• Performs custodian responsibilities as needed.
• Pick up parts from various vendors.
• Wash vehicles / equipment.
• Check chlorine levels, chlorinator and purge water lines as needed. Assist in reading water meters quarterly.
• Support Logistics Supervisor by locating tools/materials needed at various jobs and assist with the shipping of these items as necessary.
• Assist with loading & unloading of Wayne Brothers, Inc. (WBC) trucks as needed. Communicate equipment/material relocations to Logistics Supervisor.
• Receive work requests from Logistics Supervisor for recurring and non-recurring tasks.
• Perform all assigned roles, responsibilities, and related work processes / tasks in the safest possible manner. Ensure that a safe, accident/incident-free work environment is maintained for all co-workers, customers, clients, suppliers, etc. at all times

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma/GED – required
• Two-year technical degree in facilities maintenance related training and / or five years of experience in facilities maintenance
• Experience in operation and maintenance of irrigation system
