CNA - Behavioral Health Certified at In Home Wellcare – Providence, Rhode Island

About Us

At In Home Wellcare, we are a compassionate provider of personalized home care services across Rhode Island. We are seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our growing team. We have openings statewide with flexible schedules including Full-Time, Part-Time, Day, Evening, and Overnight shifts.

Position Overview

As a CNA at In Home Wellcare, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to individuals in the comfort of their homes. We are looking for professionals who demonstrate empathy, patience, strong communication skills, and the ability to follow care plans while working collaboratively with a care team.

Qualifications

• Current and active CNA license in Rhode Island

• Current CPR certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• At least 1 year of recent CNA experience

• Empathy, patience, and strong communication skills

• Ability to follow care plans and work well in a team environment

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Multilingual abilities are a plus

• Previous experience with a home care agency providing personal care services is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs)

• Provide personal care, companionship, and emotional support

• Remind and assist clients with medication intake and monitor or report observed side effects under nurse guidance

• Support mobility, transfers, and safety within the home

• Collaborate with care team members to ensure the client’s well-being

Regulatory Notice

As of June 2025, under Medicaid regulation 210-RICR-20-05-1, services provided by immediate family members may be restricted. In Home Wellcare reviews each case to determine eligibility in accordance with state rules.

Compensation and Benefits

• $0.76 per hour shift differential for shifts worked between 3:00 PM and 7:00 AM

• $1.56 per hour additional pay for CNAs holding a valid Behavioral Health certificate from CCRI

• Medical benefits available after 90 days of employment during the annual enrollment period
