Job Description:

Derrick Corporation is seeking reliable and safety-minded General Production Associates who thrive in an active production setting. Team members will be cross-trained in a variety of departments including Assembly, Layout, Painting, Screen Cloth, Shipping, and Urethane, and play a key role in meeting daily production goals.

Responsibilities:

• Following work instructions to meet job specifications
• Adhering to all safety regulations
• Cleaning and maintaining all equipment
• Measuring to confirm equipment parts meet specifications
• Loading and unloading materials in a safe manner
• Operating various equipment and/or machinery
• Assembly of heavy components using hand and power tools
• Reading blueprints to ensure work is being performed to specifications
• Checking tolerances and dimensions to ensure quality standards are being met
• Make a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, neat and tidy

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliability and strong attendance history
• Ability to learn quickly and take direction from Leads and Supervisors
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Math skills to work with addition, subtraction, fractions, and decimals
• Desire to be cross trained in different departments and in different skills
• Positive attitude
• Teamwork skills
• Driver’s License highly preferred
