ABOUT THE ROLE
The Ventures Platform and Gen AI role is a critical member of Gary Community Ventures' ventures team, supporting our rapid-cycle approach to building breakthrough solutions for Colorado kids and families. This role bridges data analysis, systems architecture, and operational implementation across multiple concurrent projects at different stages, from prototype to scale.
You'll be the team's systems integrator, responsible for identifying, configuring, and connecting the platforms that drive our pilots and internal operations. This is a hands-on position requiring equal parts technical systems expertise, analytical thinking, operational problem-solving, and a forward-looking approach to AI integration. You'll regularly work with sensitive family data (income information, benefit eligibility, personal identifying information (PII), and program participation records), making data security and privacy protection fundamental to this role.
WHAT YOU’LL DOSystems and Platform Management (40%)- Research, evaluate, and recommend new platforms and tools that enhance team efficiency
- Design and implement advanced workflows in Hubspot, n8n and other similar platforms
- Build secure integrations between tools to create seamless data flows across projects
- Set up and configure systems for new ventures with appropriate access controls and security protocols, often on rapid timelines (2-3 week shallow investigations, 3-month prototypes)
- Implement and maintain data security measures across all platforms, including user permissions, data encryption, and secure data transfer protocols
- Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize platform configurations for team efficiency
- Maintain and document system architectures and data handling procedures as ventures evolve
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and Gary's data governance policies
Data Analysis and Program Evaluation (30%)
- Design data collection approaches that balance analytical rigor with customer experience and data minimization principles
- Pull and prepare data for weekly team meetings and decision points
- Analyze prototype and pilot data to validate/invalidate hypotheses
- Create dashboards and visualizations that enable rapid interpretation of results
- Conduct customer interview analysis and qualitative data synthesis
Operational Support (10%)
- Support Gary team members in leveraging modern tools (AI or otherwise) effectively and securely for their projects
- Create documentation and train team members on secure data practices and other considerations in integrating modern platforms into their work
Generative AI Integration and Innovation (20%)
- Identify and prototype Gen AI use cases to accelerate venture learning cycles
- Implement AI-driven automation within existing and new platforms to reduce manual data entry
- Develop “AI-ready” data structures that allow for the safe and effective use of LLM models on internal Ventures data
- Evaluate AI tool security, specifically regarding how third-party LLMs handle sensitive PII and ensure alignment with Gary’s privacy standards.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- Ventures team can quickly spin up robust data collection and AI-enhanced workflow systems for new prototypes without bottlenecks or security gaps
- All Ventures data is structured to be accessible to best-in-class AI tools, enabling faster execution and deeper insights
- Data-driven decision points (prototype to scale) are supported by clean, actionable analysis
- All family and participant data is handled securely with appropriate access controls and audit trails
- AI implementations demonstrate measurable time savings or improved quality in Ventures’ research and operations
- Team members can effectively use platforms you've configured without extensive ongoing support, while following sensible data privacy practices
- We maintain family trust through responsible data stewardship and ethical AI usage
