About the Queen Mary
Located in the Port of Long Beach, the Queen Mary is a renowned Los Angeles attraction known for its rich maritime history, striking Art Deco design, and panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and city skyline. Once the grandest ocean liner of its time, the ship now offers 314 stateroomsincluding nine suites, spacious event venues, top-rated restaurants, unique shops, historical tours, and popular events like the Scottish Festival, Dark Harbor, and concerts throughout the year.
KEY SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome Wagon: Greet every guest with warmth and friendliness, making sure each arrival feels special from the moment they step up.
- Tour Maestro: Effortlessly handle reservations and ticket sales for guided tours, keeping the adventure rolling for every visitor.
- Payment Pro: Collect payments and provide change swiftly and courteously, ensuring a smooth and delightful transaction every time.
- Paperwork Ace: Balance end-of-day paperwork like a champ, juggling cash, credit cards, and discount coupons with minimal errors, keeping things accurate behind the scenes.
- Info Superstar: Answer guest questions about the Queen Mary, tours, or guided experiences with confidence, share property news, and lend a hand to crew members and other departments with professional flair!
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- At least 1 year of customer service experience; upbeat, guest-focused attitude
- Excellent communication and basic computer skills; prior ticketing system experience a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and money-handling skills
- Must have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and weekends
