About This Position
Our Extended Stay Hotel is hiring a part-time (20-30 hours) front desk clerk for weekdays and weekends! Must be available during day and the evening.

The Front Desk Clerk is an integral member of our team and joins us in fulfilling that mission by ensuring the guest’s needs are met each day, the property is respected and maintained to hotel standards, and all bookkeeping processes are adhered to.
The Front Desk Clerk job responsibilities are as follows:
(1) Booking System: Maintain the hotel's booking system, ensuring that all reservations are accurate and up-to-date, all notes are honored, and all guests have necessary information in their account.
(2) Rent Collection: Follow up on due or past due rents promptly and professionally, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the booking system.
(3) Guest Relations: Interact professionally and kindly with guests, addressing their needs and concerns, and ensuring that they have a welcoming and comfortable stay.
(4) Property Cleanliness: Monitor the general cleanliness of the property, promptly reporting any issues to the housekeeping or maintenance staff through appropriate documenting process and helping as needed.
(5) Lobby and Front Desk Organization: Keep the front desk area clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies while creating a hospitable and welcoming environment.
(6) Communication: Professionally answering the phone and responding to all guest communications in a timely manner
Qualifications and Skills Required:
(1) Previous customer service or front desk experience preferred
(2) Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
(3) Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds for short distances.
(4) High level of integrity and strong work ethic.
(5) Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
(6) Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with managers, guests, employees, and external parties.
(7) Proficiency in using hotel management software.
(8) Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and a calm demeanor..
(9) Excellent observational skills with the ability to identify potential safety risks and take appropriate action.
(10) Ability to learn and follow reporting and documenting procedures
(11) Ability to take initiative, manage time, and work alone.
(12) Availability to work in shifts, sometimes including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
After successful completion of a 30-day probationary period, front desk clerks who work at least 30 hours a week are eligible for a 50% discount on their monthly room rent at the property where they are employed.
