Hiring Manager: Head of Business Line Americas

JOB SUMMARY
The Site Manager provides leadership, performance and strategic direction of the manufacturing site. This role ensures safe, reliable, and compliant operations while delivering against production, quality, and financial objectives. The Site Manager has full accountability for site operations, regulatory compliance, and environmental, health & safety (EHS) performance, and plays a key role in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across the site. This role is responsible for maintaining positive relationships with local officials as well as the broader community and ensuring that the internal requirements match the local and state regulations.
Requirements:- Senior leadership position within the regional management team, responsible for strategic alignment of primary regional asset with business objectives.
- Ensure full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, with management of permits, operating practices and appropriate reporting to OSHA, EPA etc. As well as audit and agency interactions.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture with zero-incident expectations including but not limited to risk assessments, hazard analyses (PHA/HAZOP), and Management of Change (MOC) processes, employee engagement in safety.
- Manage site operating budget and support delivery of financial targets. Control costs related to labor, materials, maintenance, and utilities. Identify and execute cost-saving and efficiency initiatives.
- Develop and implement CAPEX plan for mid-term planning and execute site projects to ensure reliability and business growth. Scope, estimate, obtain approval, and execute a capital program to provide the technology and products necessary to meet business requirements.
- Establishes and maintains a maintenance and engineering organization to ensure the site meets correct engineering standards for quality of work and reliability.
- Collaboration with HR to define positions and salary requirements, recruit, train and retain employees leading to a stabilized workforce across all areas of the site.
- Lead, coach, and develop a cross-functional team both on site and within the broader business. Build a culture of accountability, safety, customer & quality focus, and continuous improvement.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a director level or equivalent role.
- Project management experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience collaborating on assignments involving global business units or parent company stakeholders.
- Experience in chemical manufacturing and knowledge of urethane chemistry a plus.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Strong understanding of PSM programs, PHA/HAZOP practices, MOC.
- Safety and compliance mindset (OSHA, EPA etc.).
- Advanced financial acumen and experience managing budgets and cost performance with a strong understanding of operational impact on P&L.
- Proven capability leading and developing large, cross-functional teams in a manufacturing setting.
- Problem Solving & Decision-Making: Data-driven, structured approach with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Effective communication across all levels, including regulators, employees, and senior leadership.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset: Track record of driving Lean/Six Sigma or similar initiatives to improve safety, cost, and efficiency.
