About This Position

Description:

This position supports the 3D Concrete Printer Pilot in operating and maintaining 3D concrete printing equipment on construction sites. The 3D Concrete Printer Co-Pilot will assist in the implementation of innovative construction technologies and will contribute to the safe and efficient operation of 3D printing machinery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Operating 3D Concrete Printing Equipment:
  • Support the safe and effective operation of 3D concrete printing machinery according to manufacturer's instructions and safety protocols.
  • Aid in performing pre-operational checks, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Help monitor printing processes and assist in identifying and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Contribute to ensuring the quality and accuracy of printed concrete structures.
  • Assist in rough in of electrical, plumbing, and other items
  • Assist in Preparing for Printing Operations:
  • Help prepare the printing site, including ground leveling, formwork installation, and material delivery.
  • Assist in loading and unloading materials, such as concrete mix and reinforcement.
  • Aid in calibrating and aligning the 3D printer for each project.

Assist in Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Help collect and record data related to printing operations, including material usage, printing time, and equipment performance.
  • Assist in analyzing data to identify areas for improvement in printing efficiency and quality.

Support Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and best practices related to 3D concrete printing and construction.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Assist in conducting regular safety inspections and reporting any hazards.

Support Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with the 3D Concrete Printer Pilot, engineers, architects, and other construction professionals to ensure project success.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project progress and any issues encountered.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Other Duties as Assigned:

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the company, including assisting with other construction activities as needed.
Requirements:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Technical or vocational training in construction, mechanics, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Prior experience operating heavy machinery or construction equipment preferred.
  • Experience with 3D printing technology is a plus, but not required.

Skills:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects such as 100-lbs bags of cement.
  • Ability to stand and work for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to work in dusty and noisy environments.
