About This Position

Care Management Program SARRT Specialist

SUMMARY: Under general direction, provides professional-level administrative, patient advocacy, operational and organizational services to AHS’ Sexual Assault Response and Recovery Team; plans and conducts a variety of studies and inquires and facilitates the implementation of a wide variety of programs and projects; provides direct services to patients as a sexual assault and domestic violence counselor and advocate.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: NOTE: The following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification.

1. Administers or coordinates personnel services, including scheduling, timekeeping, contracts, and grant compliance.

2. Coordinate and assist with Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence certification and continuing education trainings.

3. Coordinates purchasing activities; acts as liaison with Purchasing; research capital purchases against grant provisions and makes recommendations; ensures that proper funds are debited and invoices approved; follows-up with vendors as required.

4. Interprets and applies a variety of policies, rules and regulations, and grant provisions; provides information and guidance to staff and stakeholders.

5. Performs direct services as a Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Counselor.

6. Performs other duties as required.

7. Performs such administrative tasks as modifying policies and procedures, acting as the office automation administrator, and coordinating activities of the unit.

8. Plans and conducts administrative or operational studies; determines information gathering processes; obtains required information for analysis; evaluates alternatives and makes recommendations; prepares reports and makes presentations.

9. Plan, oversees, and performs a variety of administrative and program services including outreach, advocacy, training and education.

10. Prepares correspondence, reports, policies, procedures and other written materials in accordance with program and grant requirements.

11. Provide backup coverage and oversight for the Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Team.

12. Represents the department or agency and acts as liaison with other departments,Community organizations, and public and private partners; serves on committees and tasks force as assigned.

13. Reviews documents related to the program operations for accuracy and compliance with established procedures and regulations; researches and corrects discrepancies as necessary.

14. Mentor to staff and volunteers, providing guidance, support, and consultation as needed.

15. Serves as the departmental personnel support by interpreting rules, regulations and memoranda of understanding; may assist with payroll, training coordination, and personnel record keeping or similar functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Any combination of education and experience that provides required knowledge, skills and abilities along with as possession of any required certifications, may be considered. Relevant paid or unpaid internship experience may be accepted toward required experience.

Preferred Experience: One year as a Sexual Assault or Domestic Violence Counselor/Advocate.

Required Education: Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university (180 quarter units or 120 semester units) with major coursework in Business, Public Administration, or a field related to the work.

Required Experience: One year providing direct patient care including crisis intervention, intensive case management, utilizing a variety of evidence-based intervention.

Required Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in administrative, operational or organizational coordination, including grants management and program support related to sexual assault and domestic violence services. At least one year of experience providing direct client services, including crisis intervention, intensive case management, and the use of evidence-based practices.

Required Licenses/Certifications: State certified as a Sexual Assault and/or Domestic Violence Counselor (Incumbent without the Certification will be required to obtain the certification within six months after the date of hire).

Required Licenses/Certifications: Completion of a 65-hour Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Counselor Certification is required within six months of hire.

Additional Requirements: Renewal of fingerprint background clearance every five years following the initial employment is required as a condition of continued employment.

PAY RANGE: $44.61/hour
The pay range for this position reflects the base pay scale for the role at Alameda Health System. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licenses and certifications, departmental equity, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and the operational needs of the organization.
