About This Position
The position of Human Resource Generalist plays a key role in fostering a positive, respectful, and compliant workplace culture. This position focuses on building strong relationships between employees and management, addressing workplace concerns, and promoting fair and consistent application of policies and practices.
This role requires a professional who is approachable, highly organized, and committed to supporting employees throughout their lifecycle. The HR Generalist will apply business knowledge and human resource expertise to proactively manage employee relations matters, resolve conflicts, and guide leaders on best practices.
In addition, this position supports core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management, with a primary emphasis on maintaining a healthy work environment, ensuring compliance, and enhancing employee engagement.
Essential Job Functions:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations matters, providing guidance and support to employees and management.
- Address employee concerns and complaints with professionalism, neutrality, and confidentiality.
- Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions in alignment with company policies and applicable laws.
- Partner with leadership to proactively identify and resolve potential employee relations issues before escalation.
- Coach managers on employee relations best practices, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employees.
- Help develop, implement, support, and review all HR department initiatives, policies and procedures with an employee relations lens.
- Maintain composure and strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee issues.
- Perform other job functions as requested or assigned.

Education and Experience
HR Credentials (e.g. PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred. Minimum of five years of progressive HR experience, with a strong emphasis on employee relations. Strong working knowledge of HR functions and procedures. Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution required.
Working Environment
This position requires working indoors in an office at Three Square. Employee will use computer and phones extensively.
Other
Employee must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening. Must maintain a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and access to a personal vehicle for business purposes.
