This role offers a competitive hourly wage of $30+ per hour, along with a strong benefits package. Responsibilities of the Traveling Renovation Supervisor (including, but not limited to the following):

  • Provide onsite leadership, project management, and hands-on support at communities across our portfolio throughout their renovation processes.
  • Oversee and coordinate contractors, as well as onsite staff, to complete apartment renovations, amenity adds, and common area upgrades.
  • Perform hands-on interior renovations including framing, drywall, taping, texturing, painting, cabinetry, laminate countertops, doors, trim, lighting & plumbing fixtures, etc.
  • Complete hands-on exterior renovations including siding, doors, windows, trim, caulking, painting, etc.
  • Ensure all renovation work meets safety standards and complies with local building codes
  • Maintain renovation schedules and deliver weekly progress reports
  • Oversee project budgets with a keen eye for expense control measures throughout each project
  • Assist with routine maintenance & repair tasks, such as work orders and apartment turnovers.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise renovation staff. Drive a professional, courteous, and service-oriented atmosphere
  • Maintain clear communication with residents, employees, and contractors to ensure transparency and efficiency.
  • Serve as liaison with project inspectors, contractors, engineers, and municipal authorities

Requirements:

Requirements of a Traveling Renovation Supervisor:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of renovation or construction practices, with a minimum of 5 years in an applicable field
  • Background in project management, scheduling, & expense control
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, contractors, and team members
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to prioritize, delegate, and effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable transportation with the ability to travel between properties or offsite as needed
  • Must supply and maintain basic hand and power tools required for the position
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems and smart phone applications
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional technical, vocational, or trade school training is preferred
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check, with any criminal convictions considered based on relevance to the position and in compliance with applicable laws

On-Call Availability:

  • May be required to respond to after-hours emergency maintenance calls depending on the assignment

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical labor for extended periods
  • Capability to operate maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50-lbs
