Role Overview

SEH is seeking a talented Electrical Technician to support its Mechanical and Electrical Engineering teams. In this role, you will help develop and document electrical design solutions for a wide range of building and infrastructure projects. SEH’s M/E teams design efficient, reliable, and stable systems that serve as the backbone of highly functional facilities—from skyscrapers to water and wastewater facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop electrical design solutions for commercial, municipal, industrial, and utility facilities
• Produce construction documents, including drawings and specifications
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, and other disciplines on multi‑discipline project teams
• Support projects ranging from preliminary studies to full construction documentation
• Assist with field surveys, construction observation, and client coordination as needed

Typical Project Types

• Commercial buildings and tenant improvements
• Utilities and water/wastewater facilities
• Retail, grocery, laboratory, and educational facilities
• Projects ranging from small renovations to complex system documentation

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Electrical System Design or related field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
• Knowledge of applicable electrical codes
• Understanding of:
  • Indoor and outdoor lighting design
  • Voltage drop calculations
  • Power distribution system design

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of practical electrical design experience
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong coordination skills across multiple disciplines
• Willingness to travel as needed for:
  • Team meetings
  • Client consultations
  • Field surveys and construction observation
• Capability to manage and produce electrical construction documents
