About This Position
Mountain Valley of Cascadia is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our award-winning team. Nestled in the heart of North Idaho, our facility is known for delivering exceptional care while fostering a supportive, team-first culture.

All employees must successfully complete state-specific background check requirements prior to working with residents/patients.
What You’ll DoProvide Exceptional Care
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in a skilled nursing/long-term care setting
- Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that support long-term wellness
Lead & Support Your Team
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure safe, effective care delivery
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment
- Serve as a clinical leader and resource for your team
Ensure Accurate Documentation & Communication
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with all regulations
- Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, and family members
- Complete all required documentation, including assessments, physician orders, progress notes, flowsheets, and consents
Medication Management
- Safely administer and document medications, including post-admission doses
- Monitor for effectiveness and adverse reactions
- Maintain narcotic records and coordinate medication orders
- Complete physician order reviews and initiate therapies as ordered
Clinical & Emergency Response
- Respond quickly to changes in resident condition
- Initiate emergency interventions and perform CPR when needed
Stay Compliant & Professional
- Follow all clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Practice in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act
- Maintain punctuality and reliability
- Current, active RN license
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- A team-oriented mindset and a genuine passion for resident care

Education
- Graduate of an accredited RN program (BSN preferred)
Licensure & Certification
- Current RN license in the state of employment
- Valid CPR certification
Experience
- Minimum of six (6) months experience in long-term care preferred
