Boulder Community Health is seeking an Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) who provides strategic leadership and oversight for nursing and patient care services. The role is accountable for advancing nursing practice, patient outcomes, quality, safety, workforce performance, and operational excellence in alignment with professional standards and organizational priorities. The ACNO promotes a collaborative professional practice environment, ensures a consistent standard of nursing care across the organization, and supports the delivery of safe, equitable, high-quality, and financially sustainable care. Reports to the Chief Operating Officer / Chief Nursing Officer

Qualifications
•Bachelor’s and master’s degree required, one of which must be in Nursing
•Colorado RN License
•Minimum 5 years health care experience required
•Previous management experience required
Responsibilities
The Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) provides senior leadership for nursing practice, patient care operations, quality, and workforce performance. Responsibilities are fulfilled through the following integrated leadership competencies.

Clinical Quality, Safety, and Regulatory Oversight
•Provides oversight of nursing practice in alignment with licensure, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.

•Integrates research, evidence, and innovation into clinical and operational practice.
•Anticipates and responds to regulatory, policy, and practice environmental changes.
•Partners with community and population health stakeholders to improve outcomes and reduce disparities.
Financial Stewardship and Workforce Optimization
•Oversees financial, human, and operational resources to ensure sustainability and compliance.
•Leads capital and operating budget planning in alignment with organizational strategy.
•Develops and executes workforce strategies to recruit, retain, and develop nursing leaders and staff.
•Ensures effective onboarding, competency development, and leadership succession planning.
•Holds nursing leaders accountable for achieving clinical, financial, and workforce outcomes.
