About This Position
Location: Various Ohio Foot & Ankle Specialists locations (travel required)
Reports To: Provider / Operations Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Starting Pay: $26.00 per hour
Position Summary
Ohio Foot & Ankle Specialists is seeking a dependable and patient-focused Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support a provider across multiple practice locations. This role requires flexibility and the ability to travel alongside the assigned provider throughout the week based on the provider’s clinical schedule.
The LPN will assist with clinical duties, patient care coordination, and in-office procedures while maintaining compliance with company policies and State of Ohio nursing regulations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care under the supervision of the physician/provider
Prepare exam rooms and ensure proper sterilization of instruments and equipment
Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document medical histories in EMR
Assist providers with in-office procedures including wound care, injections, nail care, and minor surgical procedures
Administer medications as permitted within LPN scope of practice
Educate patients on treatment plans, post-procedure instructions, and medication protocols
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in EMR
Coordinate with front office and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
Support inventory management and supply ordering as needed
Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times
Travel to assigned locations as required based on provider schedule
Travel Requirement
This position requires travel to various Ohio Foot & Ankle Specialists offices throughout the week. Locations and site assignments are dependent upon the provider’s schedule and will be discussed during the interview process. Reliable transportation is required.
Qualifications
Active and unrestricted State of Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
Current BLS/CPR certification
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred (podiatry or surgical experience a plus)
Experience with EMR systems preferred
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Professional demeanor and team-oriented mindset
Ability to travel between office locations as scheduled
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of standing and walking
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Manual dexterity required for clinical procedures
Compensation & Benefits
Starting wage: $26.00 per hour
