HIM Assistant in Cookeville, Tennessee at Cookeville Regional Medical Center

The HIM Assistant is responsible for reception functions of the Medical Records Department, which may include answering phones, routing requests and calls, taking requests for information, assisting customers, coordinating the physician suspension process, assisting Coding, providing monthly reports, prepping/scanning and indexing documents, etc. The HIM Assistant is the appointed Birth Certificate Clerk.

Education: High School Diploma Required

Experience Requirements:

At least one year experience in a clerical setting. Experience in a medical record department or healthcare office setting preferred. A degree in Health Information Management or related field is preferred.
