About the role
The Senior Systems and Network Administration Specialist provides ICT support across the 4DMedical Group. This role covers a mix of technical tasks. These include day-to-day IT support and maintenance activities, implementation of IT infrastructure projects, as well as assisting with the design and planning and delivery of these projects.
What you'll do
In this hands‑on role, you’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting secure, scalable technology solutions that meet business needs. You’ll provide senior‑level technical support while partnering closely with stakeholders across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluate, design, build, implement, and support new technologies and systems aligned to business requirements
- Provide Level 3 troubleshooting and technical support across IT and security environments
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams to implement new solutions and improvements
- Provide direct support to the VP, IT and Security, including:
- Technical leadership and guidance
- Assisting with IT strategy and governance
- Coaching, mentoring, and supporting team members
- Implementing best‑practice IT and security processes, policies, and technologies
- Support project delivery and broader strategic initiatives
- Ensure the security of data, systems, networks, and backup environments
- Install, configure, and maintain end‑user devices (Windows and Mac)
- Act as an escalation point and provide guidance for an external Managed Service Provider (MSP) supporting service desk and workstation management
- Maintain servers and infrastructure, including:
- Windows and Linux servers
- System backups
- VMware, NetApp, Active Directory, Group Policy
- Maintain network and telecommunications services, including Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams telephony
- Manage and support Microsoft 365, including Entra ID and Intune, as well as other SaaS platforms
- Support and maintain Azure environments
- Maintain accurate documentation for systems, configurations, and procedures
- Manage hardware and software licensing
- Assist with other ICT‑related tasks as required
Experience and Qualifications
5-10 years of relevant previous experience in ICT roles involving systems and network administratio
Experience in maintaining Windows and Linux based servers
Experience designing and maintaining networks using the following vendors: Palo Alto, Aruba, Tailscale
·Able to build, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot ICT infrastructure (servers, storage, networking, virtualization, telecommunications, end user devices etc.)
