About the Role:
As a Technician at Joe Bullard Cadillac, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the performance, safety, and reliability of Cadillac vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that each vehicle serviced meets the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. You will diagnose, repair, and perform routine maintenance on a variety of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components. This position requires a commitment to continuous learning to stay current with the latest automotive technologies and manufacturer specifications. Ultimately, your work will contribute directly to the dealership’s reputation for excellence and customer trust.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification or equivalent technical certification.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience working as an automotive technician, preferably with luxury or Cadillac vehicles.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a dealership environment
- Advanced certifications, such as ASE's
- Familiarity with computerized diagnostic equipment and automotive software.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays, if required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed diagnostics and repairs on Cadillac vehicles using manufacturer-approved tools and techniques.
- Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
- Identify mechanical and electrical issues accurately and provide effective solutions to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
- Maintain accurate records of all services performed and parts used, ensuring compliance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
- Collaborate with service advisors and other team members to communicate vehicle status and recommend additional services when necessary.
Skills:
The required skills enable the technician to accurately diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues, ensuring safety and performance standards are met. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair techniques allows for efficient and effective service delivery. Strong problem-solving skills help in identifying root causes of vehicle malfunctions and implementing appropriate solutions.
