Job Title: Operator Transfer
Job Type: Full-Time
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
The Water Transfer Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and teardown of equipment used for the transfer of water at frac sites. The operator will work on a crew, manage tasks such as laying and picking up poly pipe, running pumps, and ensuring the proper functioning of equipment during water transfer operations. This role requires adherence to safety protocols, operating machinery safely, and maintaining equipment to ensure smooth operations at job sites.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Laying and picking up poly line, lay flat hose, running transfer pumps, and essential equipment for water transfer operations
Experience running skid steers and deploying lay flat hose
Loading and unloading pipe, field materials, and equipment onto trailers and trucks for safe transport
Observing machine operations, and gauges, and adjusting controls to maintain specified conditions
Setting and servicing pumps and generators at job sites
Following all safety procedures and using proper PPE as required per specific job task
Assist in containment and spill clean-ups
Communicating with other workers using signals, radios, and telephones
Using common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches
Driving trucks and other vehicles to transport equipment, personnel, and perform job tasks
Attending and successfully completing training as directed for DOT, OSHA, and safety

QUALIFICATIONS
One year of experience and/or equivalent training
Must be detail-oriented due to the necessity of safety
Must possess strong oral and written communication skills
Able to thrive in a team environment
Experience in the energy industry a plus
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance
Must have valid Driver’s License
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain, extreme cold, and heat, near moving mechanical parts; exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust is expected
Worker will be subject to other physical activities required, including climbing, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive motions
Exposure to noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection
Prolonged sitting, standing, walking
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Ability to lift: Maximum 75 lbs
WORK SCHEDULE
This position requires 40 hours per week and the willingness to work additional hours when needed
This position will be scheduled on a rotational work schedule that meets business needs
