Med Surg Technician at University Health System- San Antonio – San Antonio, Texas

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides patient care under the direct supervision of the registered nurse.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma, its equivalent, or higher degree is required. A minimum of three months previous hospital or medical-surgical clinic experience as a military corpsman, or nursing attendant. Medical Assistants that completed their externship through UH may also be considered in lieu of 1 year of experience, or be a graduate nurse waiting to take the NCLEX examination. Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card.
