Essential Job Responsibilities
The TSC Representative responds to a large volume of calls and is responsible for assisting members with inquiries, account discrepancies and understanding of variety of credit union products and services; performs a variety of account maintenance functions.
- Assumes responsibility for responding to member telephone inquiries and delivers exceptional member service.
- Answers a heavy volume of incoming calls in a positive professional manner.
- Performs a multitude of account functions such as inquiries, transfer requests, loan payments, line of credit advances and wire requests.
- Assists members with online banking products or service requests.
- Assists members with the completion of forms available on our website (i.e. VISA debit or credit card fraud or dispute forms).
- Opens new sub-share and/or certificate account requests.
- Send out new account information and/or information related to credit union products and services.
- Cross sell credit union produces and services based on the member’s needs, explains current promotions, new, and existing products and services.
- Input applications and provides status for all types of consumer loans as requested by members; answer basic questions about F&A consumer products and services
- A high school degree or equivalent
- Ability to be bonded and to retain bond ability
- Knowledge of credit union principles and procedures and member service philosophy
- A minimum of one to three years of customer service experience, specifically in a call center, including preparatory experience
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Computer and software proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Financial)
- Accurate typing/data entry and processing data
- Ability to work on a PC for 6-8 hours per day
- Must be adaptable to different and changing situations and solve problem
- Courteous, friendly, professional, and service-oriented
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
