What You'll Do

Loan Processing Duties
  • Manage a small pipeline of up to 5 loans per month
  • Review new loan files prior to initial disclosures to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Assist with file setup to prevent conditions (“cures”) and improve submission quality
  • Support overall file quality and readiness for processing and underwriting
Administrative & Operational Support
  • Monitor and respond to team inbox inquiries and help requests in a timely manner
  • Answer basic operational and loan-related questions from team members
  • Assist with loan locking and DPA (Down Payment Assistance) loan processing as needed
  • Pull and distribute scheduled reports, including:
    • Broker reports (month-end)
    • Branch projection reports (first and mid-month)
    • DPA reports (first and mid-month)
    • Processor projection reports
  • Provide support for daily operational questions, including:
    • Running DU (Desktop Underwriter)
    • Troubleshooting file or system issues
    • General workflow guidance
Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of lender’s and investor’s underwriting and program guidelines
  • Ability to prepare state and federally required disclosures
  • Ability to manage processing pipeline
  • Knowledge of basic underwriting guidelines to calculate income, assess adequate asset availability, review appraisal report, read title commitment/preliminary title reports
  • Depending on the opening, may train or may need someone with 1-2 years experience
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and data entry
  • Ability to view and analyze information on a computer screen for extended periods
  • Occasional standing, walking, and reaching
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 10–15 pounds (files, documents, office materials)
  • Ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
