Classification: Part Time

Reports to: Property Manager

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Salary: Starting at $18.00 per hour

Location: Crossroads, TX

29 Acre’s living community is located in Crossroads Texas approximately 30 miles north of Dallas. Located near the shores of Lake Lewisville, 29 Acres is a quiet community yet is only minutes away from the University of North Texas and all the major services and activities of the Dallas metroplex. It is easily accessible from several highways serving the North Texas area.

Position Summary

As a key member reporting to the Property Manager, this role requires attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions. The APM is responsible for keeping the community clean and well-maintained, handling both maintenance tasks and client concerns to create an inviting atmosphere.

Position Qualifications

  • Required: Minimum of High School GED

  • Required: CPR/First aid (training provided)

  • Required: Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.

  • Required: Must hold a valid Texas driver’s license and possess an acceptable driving record.

  • Required: Physical Requirements: Carrying, Cleaning, Climbing, Crawling, Driving, Kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Sitting, Squatting, Stooping, Bending, Standing, Twisting, Walking, Writing, Grasp, Talk or Hear

    • Ability to stand 8 hours or longer per day and lift up to 100 lbs. as necessary

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of all participants by maintaining safety standards on the NCH property

  • Complete maintenance list assigned by Property Manager

  • Complete regular cleaning on checklist and assigned by Property Manager

  • Address residents' concerns and needs in a timely manner

  • Assists Property Manager is scheduled events on the property

  • Assists manager in performing regular NCH property inspections

  • Provide scheduled transportation to residents using company vehicles

  • Serve as an advocate for residents

  • Collaborate with other professionals while maintaining a “can do” attitude

  • Perform other assignments as delegated by the leadership

Problem Solving/Decision Making

  • Demonstrate ability in broad diversity of functional areas

  • Display capacity for dealing with novel issues with limited guidance and/or theoretical framework (e.g. mission statement)

  • Exhibit experience having authority and accountability

  • Understand the impact, consequences and ripple effect across programs

  • Hold full and direct authority to act within the scope of areas of responsibility as well as accountability for final results

Working Conditions

  • Environments include indoor (e.g. office, house, classroom), outdoor and driving and resultant climate variations. May include required strength/endurance (e.g. lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, etc.), exposure to injury (e.g. biting, hitting, kicking) and/or other hazards (e.g. bodily fluids). Must have the physical ability to respond appropriately to situations that require first aid or CPR. Must be able to assist the adults in emergency situations. Must have the strength to maintain constant supervision of adults in all activities.
