POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse General Maintenance Worker helps keep the warehouse safe, functional, clean, and ready for daily operations. This role completes routine upkeep and preventive maintenance, performs minor repairs, identifies larger repair needs, and supports an organized environment for employees and visitors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous general maintenance, facilities, warehouse, or related experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and manage assigned tasks through completion.
• Basic troubleshooting, problem-solving, and repair skills.
• Clear communication and the ability to work effectively with coworkers, contractors, and vendors.
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity required to perform maintenance duties safely.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Willingness to complete employment verification and a background check, consistent with applicable law.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform routine cleaning, mopping, and upkeep of warehouse spaces.
• Inspect work areas and report electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, or other significant repair needs to the Maintenance Manager.
• Complete minor repairs such as changing light bulbs, repairing doors, and replacing filters within training and assigned scope.
• Maintain warehouse equipment and tools as directed and report unsafe or damaged items immediately.
• Ensure safety signs are properly placed, visible, and maintained.
• Help organize and maintain warehouse inventory and storage areas.
• Assist coworkers, approved contractors, and vendors with maintenance and renovation projects.
• Complete assigned work orders and document work performed accurately.
• Follow all safety procedures, use required personal protective equipment, and keep work areas hazard-free.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• The warehouse remains clean, organized, functional, and free of preventable hazards.
• Maintenance tasks and work orders are completed accurately and on time.
• Routine inspections and minor repairs help reduce equipment downtime and larger failures.
• Safety concerns are identified, reported, and addressed promptly.
• Supervisors and team members receive clear updates on facility needs and completed work.

PHYSICAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

• Stand and walk for prolonged periods; bend, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, and access confined areas.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds independently; safely perform team lifts of 100 pounds or more as needed.
• Use adequate vision and hearing for inspections, repairs, and safety monitoring.
• Read instructions and technical materials, follow written and verbal directions, and document completed work.
• Work indoors and outdoors around temperature changes, dust, noise, vibration, uneven surfaces, and warehouse machinery.
• Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
