About This Position
Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Client Services Manager and the Director of Laboratory Services, the Phlebotomist Pediatric Specialist collects blood specimens for analysis and processes accessions requisitions into the Laboratory Computer System.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Certified Phlebotomy Training Course completion and certificate preferred.
Experience
Minimum 2 year of Pediatric Phlebotomy experience.
Licensure and/or Certification
Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
Skills
Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Effective phlebotomy skills.
Must be able to switch priorities and respond to changing needs of the department, including traveling to other locations for assignment.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer skills.
Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
