Today, Baseball Lifestyle has over 200 employees, retail locations in malls and tournament complexes, and can be found in various sporting goods stores around the country, like Dick’s Sporting Goods, Scheels, and Academy. TITLE:
Retail & Wholesale Marketing Manager
SUMMARY OF ROLE:
The Retail & Wholesale Marketing Manager will be the team member who brings the brand to life across both physical retail spaces and wholesale partner environments, creating memorable brand experiences that connect with customers at every touchpoint. This role will sit at the center of marketing, retail, and wholesale, translating brand moments into real-world activations ranging from store openings and local events to wholesale launches and in-store storytelling. This position will play a key role in shaping how customers experience the brand beyond digital, ensuring every retail and wholesale interaction feels cohesive, intentional, and impactful. This will be a full-time exempt position reporting directly to the Director of Marketing.
RESPONSIBILITES:
The Retail & Wholesale Marketing Manager is responsible for the following:
- Develop and execute retail and wholesale marketing strategies to drive traffic, sales, and brand awareness across owned retail stores and partner accounts.
- Partner with Store Operations and Wholesale Sales teams to support store openings, wholesale launches, activations, and seasonal campaigns.
- Create and manage in-store and wholesale marketing materials aligned with brand initiatives and product storytelling.
- Coordinate local marketing efforts, grassroots initiatives, and events to increase community engagement and customer acquisition.
- Ensure consistency across ecommerce, brand, retail, and wholesale messaging.
- Analyze retail and wholesale performance metrics and evaluate marketing effectiveness to optimize future initiatives.
- Own the retail and wholesale marketing calendar.
- Plan and manage a detailed marketing calendar that aligns with company-wide campaigns, promotions, seasonal launches, and product drops, ensuring timely execution across all retail stores and wholesale accounts.
- Manage budget and vendor relationships.
- Oversee the retail and wholesale marketing budget, including production, media, events, merchandising, and vendor costs. Source and manage external partners such as printers, fabricators, event agencies, and local marketing vendors.
- Drive visual merchandising alignment.
- Partner with Visual Merchandising and wholesale partners to ensure in-store presentation supports marketing objectives, enhances storytelling, and maximizes product sell-through.
- Leverage customer insights and segmentation.
- Utilize customer data, account feedback, and regional insights to tailor store-level and wholesale marketing strategies, ensuring relevance to local audiences and improving engagement.
- Support omnichannel initiatives (BOPIS, events, loyalty programs).
- Promote and support omnichannel services such as Buy Online, Pick Up In Store (BOPIS), in-store returns, loyalty programs, and wholesale-exclusive activations through targeted marketing efforts.
- Support wholesale partner marketing needs including co-branded campaigns, retail signage, launch kits, product education materials, and account-specific activations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Ecommerce, Creative, and Product teams to ensure alignment across all marketing channels and customer experiences.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging retail and wholesale marketing opportunities to keep the brand innovative and culturally relevant.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 4–6+ years of marketing experience, with exposure to retail & wholesale environments.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience supporting store openings, activations, or events.
- Ability to translate brand strategy into physical retail experiences.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
SKILLS:
