In this role, you will help shape the technical foundation of a global mobile platform powering modern financial and payment experiences for businesses worldwide. You’ll lead the evolution of native iOS and Android architecture, develop scalable shared frameworks, and drive engineering excellence across multiple product teams. Working within a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment, you will influence platform strategy, mobile reliability, security, developer experience, and performance at scale. This position is ideal for a senior technical leader who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges while mentoring others and driving long-term architectural vision. You’ll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge mobile technologies, contribute to large-scale cross-functional initiatives, and directly impact the quality and scalability of globally used financial products. The environment encourages ownership, innovation, and continuous learning, offering significant career growth and technical influence.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the design, evolution, and governance of shared mobile architecture across native iOS and Android applications.
  • Develop and maintain foundational mobile platform capabilities, including authentication, analytics, feature flags, experimentation frameworks, observability, and shared UI components.
  • Drive modularization initiatives and establish scalable engineering standards to improve maintainability, consistency, and development velocity across teams.
  • Improve mobile application security, reliability, performance, and operational health through best practices, monitoring, and platform-level metrics.
  • Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines, release workflows, and automation processes to improve developer productivity and release stability.
  • Lead cross-functional technical initiatives involving engineering, product, design, and platform stakeholders to deliver scalable mobile solutions.
  • Establish and enforce engineering best practices related to code quality, testing, documentation, and mobile platform governance.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers through architecture reviews, coaching, and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Support platform observability initiatives, including logging, tracing, crash reporting, and performance monitoring.
  • Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and the continued growth of the mobile engineering organization.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience building native mobile applications for iOS or Android, including experience operating at a Senior or Staff Engineer level.
  • Deep expertise in either iOS technologies (Swift, SwiftUI, Combine, async/await) or Android technologies (Kotlin, AndroidX, Jetpack, Coroutines, Hilt), with solid understanding of both ecosystems.
  • Proven experience designing and evolving scalable mobile architectures, shared libraries, modular systems, or platform foundations.
  • Strong understanding of mobile performance optimization, reliability engineering, security best practices, and observability tooling.
  • Hands-on experience managing and improving CI/CD pipelines and mobile release processes using modern automation tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale technical initiatives and influence stakeholders across multiple teams without direct authority.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals with a focus on clean architecture, maintainability, automated testing, and code quality.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical leadership within engineering organizations.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative, and highly autonomous environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience within fintech, payments, B2B SaaS, or other highly regulated industries is considered a strong advantage.
  • Contributions to the broader mobile engineering community, open-source projects, or technical thought leadership are a plus.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary package with long-term growth opportunities.
  • Equity participation opportunities.
  • Flexible and collaborative work environment with remote and hybrid working options.
  • Opportunity to work on globally scaled mobile products used by businesses worldwide.
  • Exposure to cutting-edge technologies and complex technical challenges within fintech and payments.
  • Inclusive and diverse culture focused on innovation, ownership, and continuous learning.
  • Career development opportunities, mentorship, and access to highly experienced engineering teams.
  • Wellness and employee support initiatives designed to promote work-life balance and long-term success.
  • International and cross-functional collaboration with globally distributed teams.
