Job Description

Senior Customer and Industry Insights Analyst

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Customer and Industry Insights Analyst in United States.

This role sits at the intersection of analytics, storytelling, and strategic decision-making, transforming complex customer and industry data into clear, actionable insights. You will help define how a fast-growing platform understands its merchants, consumers, and broader self-care ecosystem, shaping everything from product strategy to go-to-market execution. Working closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, you will translate data into narratives that influence key business decisions. The environment is highly collaborative, insight-driven, and focused on turning ambiguity into clarity. This is a role for someone who enjoys connecting disparate data points, identifying meaningful patterns, and communicating findings in a way that drives action. You will also play a key role in shaping recurring insight products that inform both internal strategy and external thought leadership.

Accountabilities

You will be responsible for transforming raw data into high-impact insights that guide strategic and operational decisions across the organization:

  • Develop and publish recurring external and internal insight reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) covering industry trends, customer behavior, and performance benchmarks
  • Analyze merchant, consumer, and product data to identify ecosystem trends, quantify impact, and surface growth opportunities across segments and regions
  • Build deep customer understanding across demand patterns, pricing sensitivity, frequency, and lifecycle behavior to support segmentation and GTM strategies
  • Define merchant segmentation frameworks by vertical, size, and maturity, including benchmarking models and outlier detection for strategic decision-making
  • Monitor and analyze operational and industry dynamics such as utilization, retention, cancellations, rebooking, and seasonal patterns
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, and GTM teams to develop data-driven narratives, visuals, and insights that support campaigns and positioning
  • Deliver executive-ready presentations that translate complex analysis into clear recommendations, tradeoffs, and measurable business impact
  • Ensure privacy-safe data practices through robust aggregation standards, disclosure controls, and compliance with data protection thresholds
Requirements

You will bring strong analytical expertise combined with a storytelling mindset and the ability to influence senior stakeholders:

  • 6+ years of experience in analytics, insights, or data roles within SaaS, marketplaces, payments, or high-growth tech environments
  • Advanced SQL expertise (Snowflake preferred), strong Python skills, and hands-on experience with dbt in production environments
  • Proven experience creating executive-facing reports, dashboards, and insight-driven narratives used for strategic decisions
  • Strong understanding of product analytics, SaaS growth metrics, and how insights translate into business opportunities and tradeoffs
  • Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, Sigma, or Power BI
  • Excellent communication and editorial skills, with the ability to simplify complex findings into clear, compelling insights
  • Working knowledge of privacy-aware analytics, including aggregation thresholds, k-anonymity concepts, and data disclosure controls
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate in cross-functional, fast-paced environments
Benefits
  • Competitive base salary with location-based ranges and potential variable compensation
  • Equity participation in a high-growth company
  • Fully remote work environment with flexibility and autonomy
  • 401(k) plan with company match
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage
  • Flexible PTO policy to support work-life balance
  • Monthly work-from-home stipend
  • Family planning resources and support programs
  • Learning and development budget to support professional growth
  • Inclusive and diverse workplace culture focused on collaboration and impact
