Job Description
San Diego Wave Camps is seeking a Site Director for our La Costa camp at San Dieguito Sports Complex (July 610, 2026), with option to work all summer.
Were looking for a strong leader who thrives in a team-oriented environment, enjoys mentoring staff, and is passionate about youth sports.
In this role, youll lead a team of coaches, build a positive staff culture, and ensure campers have a fun, safe, and development-focused experience. This is a great opportunity to combine leadership, coaching, and program management in one role.
Optional Pre-Summer Opportunity (Starting May 2026):The selected candidate may have the opportunity to begin working as early as May2026 in a part-time, paid role supporting group sales and community outreach for San Diego Wave Camps.
In this role, you may:- Promote camp programs to local schools, teams, and community organizations
- Build relationships with families and youth sports groups to support enrollment efforts
- Gain valuable experience in sports sales, marketing, and operations

What Youll Lead (Site Director Responsibilities):- Ensure a safe, structured, and inclusive environment for campers ages 412
- Manage daily logistics including check-in/check-out, scheduling, and transitions
- Communicate professionally with parents, guardians, and staff
- Handle problem-solving, conflict resolution, and on-site decision-making
- Uphold and represent the Wave Camps FC brand with professionalism and integrity
- Gain leadership experience in sports management, youth development, and operations
- Make a lasting impact on young athletes in your community
- Work outdoors in a high-energy, team-driven environment
- Experience leading youth programs, summer camps, or sports camps
- Background in soccer coaching or playing (high school level or higher preferred)
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and staff members simultaneously
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities
- High energy, professionalism, and accountability
- Passion for youth development through sports
- Ideally a6-week summer commitment: June 22 July 31, 2026
- MondayFriday, approximately 8 hours per day
- Ability to travel to camp locations
- Must pass a comprehensive background screening
- Comfortable driving a rented camp van if needed
Compensation:
- $1,400 $1,600 per week, based on experience
