Job Description

We’re looking for an AI Engineer with 2–3 years of experience who wants to build real-world generative AI solutions on AWS. In this role, you’ll support enterprise clients to design and deliver AI solutions on AWS, working across solution design, hands-on development, testing and deployment. It’s an opportunity to deepen your experience in generative AI while helping turn ideas into business outcomes.

At Cevo, you’ll work on practical AI solutions that solve real business problems across industries including financial services, energy and government.

You’ll partner with experienced consultants, engineers and enterprise clients to help take ideas from concept to production, building solutions that are secure, governed and designed to deliver measurable value.

If you’re excited by hands-on engineering, emerging AI technologies and the opportunity to grow quickly in a consulting environment, this is a great role to build your capability and career.
What you'll be doing:
Building generative AI solutions on AWS
· Help design and build RAG pipelines using embedding models and vector databases
· Contribute to agentic workflows and orchestration patterns with support from senior team members
· Build and improve LLM-powered assistants embedded in enterprise workflows
· Test and evaluate model quality, response reliability and hallucination risk
· Develop prompts, tool-calling logic and structured outputs for real business use cases
· Use Amazon Bedrock to build and test generative AI solutions
· Work with Amazon SageMaker and related AWS services to support development and deployment
· Help create embedding pipelines and retrieval services for AI applications
· Contribute to monitoring, testing and lifecycle management activities
· Support the development of reusable assets, accelerators and internal tooling
Improving performance and reliability
· Support monitoring of model, prompt and embedding performance
· Assist with testing, documentation and auditability of AI solutions
· Capture telemetry for prompts, responses and system performance
· Help improve cost, latency and reliability over time
· Maintain clear documentation, reproducibility and version control practices

Supporting responsible AI delivery
· Apply responsible AI practices including explainability, transparency and human oversight
· Support bias, fairness and quality testing activities
· Help implement guardrails, validation and content filtering controls
· Work with senior team members to align solutions with security, risk and compliance requirements
· Contribute to enterprise-ready delivery practices for governed AI solutions

Working closely with clients and teams
· Partner with product, data, cloud and security teams to deliver AI solutions aligned to business needs
· Contribute to workshops, discovery sessions and solution discussions with clients and internal stakeholders
· Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
· Collaborate closely with senior consultants and engineers to grow your consulting and delivery capability

What you'll bring
· 2–3 years of experience in AI, machine learning, data science or software engineering
· Strong Python skills and working knowledge of SQL
· Exposure to generative AI concepts such as LLMs, prompting, RAG or evaluation
· Experience contributing to AI or software solutions across development, testing or deployment
· Understanding of APIs, cloud services and modern engineering practices
· Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn quickly in a consulting environment
· Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members and stakeholders
· Exposure to Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker or other AWS AI services
· Experience with vector databases or retrieval-based systems
· Familiarity with prompt engineering, evaluation techniques or agent frameworks
· Understanding of MLOps, testing or observability practices
· Experience working in enterprise, consulting or regulated environments
· Interest in responsible AI, model governance and secure AI delivery
· Experience building internal tools, assistants or proof-of-concept AI applications
