Senior Staff Accountant at The Jay Odom Group LLC – Destin, Florida

You will serve as a cornerstone of our financial operations, owning the critical functions of treasury management and debt accounting for a diverse, multi-entity real estate portfolio. This role empowers you to modernize accounting workflows and influence the fiscal health of a company with a 35-year legacy of excellence.

• Administer daily cash positioning and bank activity across multiple entities to ensure optimal liquidity.

• Reconcile complex debt activity, including loan draws, interest accruals, and amortization schedules, to the general ledger.

• Execute accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes to support high-level financial reporting.

• Formulate and file sales tax returns across multiple states while managing workers compensation audit documentation.

• Identify and implement automation tools to improve the efficiency and accuracy of reconciliation workflows.

• Coordinate with leadership and external banking partners to maintain seamless treasury services and account health.

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably at the Senior Staff level.

• Proven expertise in Treasury Management, bank reconciliations, and multi-entity environments.

• Demonstrated experience managing debt accounting, loan closings, and refinancings.

• High proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel functions.

• Strong analytical skills with a focus on cleaning up and improving messy financial processes.

• Direct experience using Sage Intacct for multi-entity financial management.

• Prior experience within the real estate development or property management industry.

• Advanced knowledge of interest accruals and complex amortization for large-scale projects.
